Cookie Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

This policy applies to cookies and browser storage used by SVE Ventures Ltd trading as CampFind (“CampFind”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Campfind also uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage for some features. This policy covers all of these.

Essential cookies

  • Authentication tokens — set by Supabase Auth to keep you logged in securely.
  • CSRF and security tokens — used to protect form submissions and API requests.
  • Session state — remembers temporary state such as search filters within a session.
  • These cannot be opted out without breaking login and core features.

Analytics cookies (optional — off by default)

  • Google Analytics 4 — if you accept analytics cookies, Google sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site (pages viewed, traffic sources) so we can improve it.
  • These are set only after you opt in. Until you accept, no analytics cookies are stored on your device.
  • We also use PostHog for anonymous, cookieless product analytics. It stores nothing on your device and sets no cookies, so it runs without consent — it cannot identify you.

Advertising cookies (optional — off by default)

  • Google Ads — if you accept advertising cookies, Google may set cookies to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and reduce repeated or irrelevant ads.
  • These are set only after you opt in. Rejecting them does not change what content you can access on CampFind.

Managing your choice

  • When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or choose analytics and advertising cookies individually.
  • You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer.
  • We remember your choice for six months. After that, or if we change how we use cookies, we will ask again.
  • Google Consent Mode ensures Google tags respect your choice — analytics and advertising storage stay blocked until you opt in.

Other third-party cookies

  • Stripe — used to process owner subscription and booking payments. Stripe sets cookies on payment pages to prevent fraud. These are necessary for payments to work.
  • Apple MapKit JS — used to render maps and handle location search. Apple may process anonymised tile-request data; it does not receive your personal data.
  • These third-party services have their own privacy and cookie policies.

How to manage cookies in your browser

  • You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings.
  • Most browsers let you block third-party cookies specifically, which limits Stripe and map tracking without affecting login.
  • Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using saved features.
  • On a mobile device, you can manage cookie settings through your browser app preferences.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies or change how existing ones are used. Check back here or look for an in-app notification if we make significant changes.
